I am a composer, producer and singer specialising in writing and performing songs and instrumentals that enhance storylines and drama productions in an authentic late 20th century Western classic pop / rock era style. I compose and arrange pieces of music in commercially viable, accessible and catchy formats that appeal to a wide audience.  My aim is to evoke emotions and make people think.

I enjoy creating melodic music for historical plays and intelligent dramas, examples of which include projects such as ‘Journeys: Captain James Cook’ and ‘Chocolate City Drama Series’. Click here to find out more about these projects.

My main instrument is acoustic and electric guitar, but I am also comfortable with the keyboard and synthesizer. I used to run my own 'ProgYes' Radio show on Phoenix FM, specialising progressive rock. These shows were broadcast to an estimated audience of 60-80,000 each month for 2.5 years. Podcasts of 'ProgYes' shows are available here. I have also organised a number of local festivals to popularise 'Prog' music.

I have closely collaborated with lyricists and dramatists based all over the world, helping them illustrate their stories using music and sound effects. To enable me to record more effectively, I have established my private high-tech studio, 'Northern Soundscapes', where I have already recorded a number of albums and songs, achieving enthusiastic reviews in independent magazines such as Classic Rock Society. I have achieved semi-final places in song writing competitions and my music productions have been broadcast on local and national radios in the UK and Europe.
